Wilstem Ranch
French Lick, Indiana has become quite the tourist destination. For years, it has offered luxury accommodations at French Lick Resort and Casino as well as West Baden Resort. It has also tapped into the family travel niche with the addition of Wilstem Ranch and Big Splash Adventure. You could easily spend an entire week here when you factor in all the beautiful hiking trails and nature nearby.

We often travel halfway across the world in search of adventure and new experiences, so it is pretty great that Wilstem Ranch is a day trip from our home!!! This place is truly unique and set apart from any other place we’ve visited… especially in the U.S. They have amazing exotic animal encounters that allow you to have bucket-list-worthy interactions, while still staying committed to the safety and well-being of every animal. Not to mention adrenaline packed adventures like ATVs, ziplines, and more. This ranch was MADE for our family and we absolutely loved our time here!!!
Notes and Tips:
- A stay at Big Splash Adventure always includes their waterpark (a 2 day pass for 1 night) and a hot breakfast, making this a great value for families. It definitely has a Great Wolf Lodge feel but at a fraction of the cost.
- The owners of Big Splash Adventure and Wilstem Ranch also own Shotz, a mini golf and laser tag venue for added family fun!
